Filinvest City, Alabang – Filinvest REIT, Corp (FILRT) clinched its third FIABCI Philippines recognition after its own Filinvest One building received the Gold award under the Sustainable Development category at the recent Philippine Property and Real Estate Excellence Awards 2026.  

The latest citation strengthens FILRT’s position as a Grade A sustainable office developer, following a Gold award for Vector Three in 2025 and a Silver for Axis Tower One in 2022 in the same category.  

“As the first sustainability-focused REIT in the country, accolades such as FIABCI affirm FILRT’s disciplined approach remain on track and abreast with the internationally recognized green building frameworks,” said president Maricel Brion-Lirio. “FILRT will continue to pursue portfolio initiatives that enhances operational efficiency, promotes environmentally conscious designs, and delivers long-term value creation for leaseholders.”  

Filinvest One is also officially certified as EDGE Carbon Zero by the Philippine Green Building Initiative (PGBI) based on actual operational data. The building operates on 100 percent renewable electricity sourced from offsite generation, amounting to approximately 1,536,433 kWh annually, while the remaining site emissions of 0.47 tCO2e per year are fully offset through verified carbon offset mechanisms.   

The property's sustainability performance is supported by a Variable Refrigerant Flow air-conditioning system that improves part-load efficiency, enables zone-level temperature control, and reduces overall energy consumption, resulting in energy savings of approximately 48 percent compared to baseline performance. This is complemented by a 100 percent emergency back-up power system with N+1 configuration, ensuring operational continuity and resilience for tenants.
